From 24 to 26 March, the national final of the Sixth National Higher Education Schools' Young Teachers' Lecture Competition in Electronic Information was held at Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Four teachers from the Department of Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, including Cong Jiawei, Zhou Zhiqiang, Xu Xiaofang, and Tong Yanqun, participated in the finals and were pleased to win three second prizes and one third prize. This is another major breakthrough in the College's teachers' performance in national teaching competitions.
A total of 653 contestants from 28 provinces and cities participated in this year's competition, and 182 contestants finally entered the finals. The finals were divided into 8 groups according to the courses. The participating teachers determined the order of the competition and the content of their lessons by drawing lots, and each of them gave a 20-minute live teaching demonstration. The conference invited 6 national teaching masters, 25 provincial teaching masters, and 10 members of the Teaching Instruction Committee to form a jury to evaluate the participating teachers' on-site teaching content, teaching organization, teaching methods, the combination of micro-courses and teaching content, teaching art, characteristics and effects, and other aspects of blind evaluation and scoring.
The National Higher Education Schools Electronic Information Professional Young Teachers Teaching Competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Education Higher Education Electronic Information Professional Teaching Steering Committee and the Chinese Institute of Electronics, aiming to promote classroom teaching reform, create a "golden lesson", to provide a platform for the majority of young teachers to display, exchange, and to create an atmosphere of learning from each other and to learn from each other to catch up with the others and to give full play to the leading role in improving the quality of the teacher team. This competition further strengthens the basic teaching skills and ability training for young teachers of electronic information, improves the quality of course teaching and talent training, and cultivates more high-quality electronic information talents.
